The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Muazu Zubairu, has disclosed that intelligence report received from Lagos Neighbourhod Safety Corps, LNSC, assisted the Police in enforcing law and order especially during last poll in the state.
Zubairu noted that their ability to gather intelligence at the grassroots has also contributed to reduction in crime within the state. The Commissioner of Police, represented by the Area Commander, Area A, Lion Building, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni, said this weekend at the second year anniversary of the security outfit held at Elegbeta Sports Complex, Ebute Ero, in Lagos Island.
He said: “LNSC is the only agency in Lagos that is obviously partnering the police in terms of security. In almost all the police stations in Lagos, we have a segment of LNSC. “We work together, brainstorm together and during the last general elections, the LNSC played a fantastic and superb role.
I want to thank you (LNSC) for that feat that was so obvious and it was one of the best supports we ever received .”
