When Gbenga Daniel, Ayodele Fayose Visit Tinubu in Lagos

Former governor of Ogun and Ekiti State yesterday Tuesday October 12th paid a courtesy visit to National leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Boudillon home in Lagos, Thecitypulsenews.com reports.

Otunba Gbenga Daniel and his Ekiti State counter part, Ayodele Fayose were among the guests that registered their presence in Asiwaju”s Bourdillon residence yesterday.

Otunba Gbenga Daniel who was formerly in People’s Democratic Party (PDP) recently moved to ruling APC  based on his principles and love for Yoruba race.

The relationship between Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Gbenga Daniel dates back to decades, and they remained strong allies until 2003 when Daniel contested for the governorship seat in Ogun State under People’s Democratic party (PDP) and he won, it is worthy of mentioning that Daniel is the first two term Governor of Ogun State.

Daniel has remained active in politics, coordinating the Southwest campaign for Late President Umaru Yar’Adua and later President Goodluck Jonathan,
Daniel recently joined the ruling party (APC).

Ayodele Fayose, though still a member of the opposition party (PDP) but had said severally in different occasions that even though, he doesn’t belong to same party with Asiwaju but claimed Tinubu is his leader, it’s however not clear at this moment whether Fayose would jump ship to the ruling party, fingers are crossed as political watchers await next move of former Ekiti number one citizen.
