The Lagos State Ministry of Health, on Friday, gave a breakdown of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the state according to local government areas.
Lagos, which is the epicentre of COVID-19 in the country, has recorded a total of 1,667 cases out of the total virus figures announced on Friday night by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The state’s ministry of health has shared a graphical representation of the infections recorded across the LGAs in the state between April 7 and May 7, 2020, on Twitter.
According to the report, since the beginning of May, Lagos Mainland has accounted for the highest number of infections in the state, with 541 cases. The LGA encompasses some of the densely populated areas in the state.
Eti-Osa came second place with 200 infections, while Mushin accounted for 138 cases.
Others are: Ikeja – 73, Alimosho – 69, Kosofe – 59, Apapa 55, Shomolu – 40, Amuwo Odofin – 35, and Oshodi/Isolo – 34.
Others are: Surulere – 31, Lagos Island – 30, Ibeju Lekki – 26, Afejoromi/Ifelodun – 18, Ikorodu 18, Agege – 13, Ifako/Ijaye – 12, Epe – 8, Badagry 5, and Ojo 4.
