Old Gunnar’s Solskjaer’s unbeaten start to life at Manchester United came to an abrupt end as PSG won 2-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
The Ligue 1 giants gained a healthy advantage in their Champions League last 16, 1st leg clash at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Presnel Kimpembe and the impressive Kylian Mbappe, while Paul Pogba saw red late on on a disastrous night for the Red Devils.
The visitors took the lead in the 53rd minute when Kimpembe volleyed home a corner, and that advantage was doubled seven minutes later when Mbappe outpaced Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof to sweep home a fine cross from former United man Angel Di Maria.
United could only muster one shot on target all night and to make matters worst, Pogba saw red late on after picking up two bookings and will not be heading to Paris for the return in three weeks’ time
