Covid-19 pandemic

China has approved two experimental vaccines against the Coronavirus for phase one and two clinical trials, Thecitypulsenews reports.

This is according to the country’s news agency, Xinhua.

The vaccines are being developed by Wuhan Institute of Biological Products under the China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm) and Sinovac Research and Development Co., Ltd, a company based in Beijing.

Clinical trials of the first vaccine developed in China began in mid-March, with 108 volunteers taking part in them.
