All Progressives Congress chieftain, Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, popularly known as GOS and Olamilekan Solomon also called Yayi has commended Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, GOS said ” he surprised him pleasantly in his first year in office “.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos while assessing the performance of the Ambode-led administration in the last one year Ganiyu Solomon said: “He has done wonderfully well and I am proud of him.
“He has surprised me pleasantly.
“If he can achieve this much in the last 12 months, I wonder what he is going to do at the end of 48 months.”
Solomon, who represented Lagos-West in the seventh Senate, commended Ambode’s administration for addressing challenges in all sectors equally.
He said: “This is not about politics; it is not about patronising him.
“This is about what you can see and feel.”
Solomon advised the governor not to relent in his efforts to ensure that Lagosians gets the best.
He said: “If he can come this far in 12 months, then he should aim to beat his own records.
“That should be his target.”
Olamilekan said: “In the last one year, the facts speak for themselves; laudable programmes and projects.
“In the last one week, over 150 projects have been commissioned.
“Is it the 114 roads that are currently under construction, the rebuilding of Oshodi and the MoU on 4th Mainland Bridge?
“All these are under one year.
“What else do we expect or deserve than to continue to support him and in the next four years or thereabout, Lagos will be a mega city.”
