Thecitypulsenews – In the year 1939, to the Royal Family of Fidipote in the ancient city of Ijebu Ode located at eastern part of Ogun State now, an audible announcement was made on the birth of a Prince in all the streets, melodies and congratulatory messages was visible for all to see on the lips of many especially Prince and Mrs Ambali Olugbile precisely on October 18th.
Little did many know the birth is that of the Hesperus found in a royal blue blood, as growing up was with glamour and glitz. He was named Tajudeen according to Islamic rites and also nomenclature Rahmon, a name which is linked with the Almighty; this according to a Yoruba panlace “Oruko ni roni, Ewa ki i ro eniyan” cannot be washed off in the life of our father, Otunba (Omooba) Rahman Tajudeen Olugbile.
Had his elementary school at Oke Ado in Ibadan, but his quest to be self-made and independent made him join his father who at the time had a Filling Station at same Ibadan.
In his pursuit for independence and wealth, the Otunba Rahmon Olugbile being a young man moved to Lagos settling at Ikeja the capital city where he established his Car Wash business. Without much ado, the business began to flourish hence decided to expand his horizon.
Fortune smiled on the energetic but youthful Prince Tajudeen Rahmon Olugbile of Fidipote ruling house in Ijebu-Ode, he sojourn abroad in search of greener pastures to the European Countries, he culminated into importing of Cars. Needful is to say, the Young Prince according to friends was nicknamed a Jack of all trades.
Quoting his Son, Prince Segun Olugbile in his tribute to his late father, he likened Otunba Rahmon Olugbile as a man who fought battles especially his own battle and brought him an evergreen joy… In part he said “Daddy, you were like a warrior who fought all my childhood battles. You brought me so much joy in our lives. You will always mean the world to me. That said, always know I will never stop missing you. You will always be my king, my ideal source of happiness, thank you daddy, for flourishing our home with happiness and warmth. It’s so hard to imagine you are no longer with us. You have been such a great Man, and one of the greatest icons of our time. I love you beyond description. Your presence will always be remembered. You will always be my biggest life inspiration. You gave me a reason to live and fight on even when all hope was lost. Everything I own is credited to your love and commitment. You are gone but will never be forgotten. I love you and Miss You too much Dad. Forever in our hearts”.
The above tribute of a Son to his father signalled how much of Love, responsiveness and being responsible, Alhaji Olugbile Rahmon Tajudeen was before demise.
In the words of his Kingsman and childhood friend, HRM Oba Kasali Adesanya, the Moyegeso of Ijebu-Itele Kingdom, the philanthropy of Alhaji Tajudeen Rahmon Olugbile who was his own Otunba can not be overemphasized. He said during Muslims festivals in Itele, Alhaji Rahmon distributes Rams to many Islamic families, pays school fees of many and even provide physiological needs of those who sought. Needful is to allude the accolades of Allen Avenue Youths, who were full of eulogies of the Irawo Addini of Ikeja Central Mosque.
His First marriage was in 1976 at Ibadan where he married Miss Ebun Odufote then later married more beautiful wives. The marriage was blessed with achieverment personified Children who are residents both in abroad as well as in Nigeria.
Late Rahmon Tajudeen Olugbile contributed immeasurably to Community Development, which paved for him an award by the Ikeja Division of the Nigeria Police Force and many other notable awards including that of Agency of Good Governance and Social Development where he bagged the PILLAR OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. He was a member of Ikeja Country Club and Survived by Wives and Children, including his extended families.
