The Kwara State Fadama NG-CARES on 17 August, 2021, met with the interested Service Providers as regards the implementation of the Fadama NG-CARES Project, Thecitypulsenews reports.
The gathering, which was a familiarisation meeting, was to brief the would-be Service Providers on the eligibility requirements to participate as Service Providers for the Fadama NG-CARES Project (Result Area2).
Applauding the concern and support of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the efforts of the World Bank for the initiation of the project, the State Project Coordinator, Engr. Dr. Busari Toyin Isiaka, disclosed that what the project is targeted to achieve within the period of two years is equal to what some earlier Fadama projects did for a period of five years.
He then urged the would-be Service Providers to be time-sensitive because of constraints, adding that the project which is a grant to beneficiaries is a loan to the State Government, tasking the intending Service Providers on commitment and sincerity.
He noted that relevant biders recruited by the beneficiaries will be certified by the State Fadama NG-CARES Coordination Office, stating that the Office’s collaboration with the Kwara State Public procurement Agency is premised on the Agency’s statutory responsibility to review and audit the procurement activities of the platform to ensure compliance with the procurement guidelines.
Busari later highlighted the eligibility criteria, which included evidence of certificate of incorporation issued by Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC, evidence of company’s income tax clearance for the last three years (2018, 2019, 2920), evidence of financial capacity.
Others are company’s profile with curriculum vitae of key staff including academic and professional qualifications, evidence of company’s account with reputable commercial bank in the country and evidence of registration with the Kwara State Public procurement Agency.
Other officials like Project Procurement Officer, Mr. Kabir Yinka Ibiyemi, Technical Officer on Inputs, Engr. Abdulmalik Zubairu, Safeguard and Enviromental Officer, Mr. AbdulRahim Mohammed Abubakar, and the Project Accountant, Dr. Ismail Daudu Aliu, clarified areas that needed further explanations.
The staff of the Union Bank of Nigeria were also on ground to express intention to partner with interested Service Providers.
The event gave the intending Service Providers present to ask various questions, which were answered accordingly.
