Former Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, is not interested in replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United while Anthonio Conte is ready should the Premier League giants eventually sack the Norwegian, Thecitypulsenews gathers.
Zidane has been linked with a move to Manchester United as Solskjaer is currently under intense pressure at the Red Devils following their latest embarrassing Premier League 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday at Old Trafford.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Zidane does not want the Man United job because he doesn’t want to return to management so soon after leaving Real Madrid at the end of last season.
The Frenchman only wants to relax and recover at this stage in his life and while he will almost certainly return to management in the future, that time is not now.
Meanwhile, Man United hierarchy is giving serious consideration to sacking Solskjaer before the club’s next Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
This is coming after Man United’s humiliating defeat to Liverpool.
The defeat to Liverpool was Man United’s worst-ever home loss to their biggest rivals in the Premier League history.
It was also their 5th defeats in their last nine matches.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte would be ready to break a personal rule to become the new manager of Manchester United.
The feisty Italian is not known to join clubs in the middle of a season, but could change his mind if he is approached by the Old Trafford club.
This is according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, who insists there are no official talks.
Romano says United’s board are still in conversation over the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who watched on as the Red Devils were thrashed by Liverpool on Sunday.
“First step has to be the final decision on Solskjaer by the (Manchester United) board. Internal talks are still ongoing over how to handle the crisis.
“Antonio Conte would be prepared to talk with Man Utd about project, as revealed on Monday – but there’s still no official contact yet.
“To be clear about Antonio Conte. He’s never been a fan of joining clubs during the season as it’s not in his style – the only club right now that could change Antonio’s mind is Manchester United.
“Still no official talks. Depends of Solskjær situation – matter of respect,” Romano tweeted.
