There are indications that the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari may have drawn up the list of ministers, who are expected to work with him after being sworn-in as president on Friday, 29th May, 2015.
It was learnt that the President-elect may also have sent 40 names of the would-be ministers to security agencies for screening.
Thus, the Department of State Services (DSS); the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI); and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) were reported to have commenced screening on the ministerial nominees.
Top on the list of the would-be ministers are outgoing Governors of Lagos, Rivers and Kano States, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN; and Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and Senator-elect Rabiu Kwankwaso respectively.
There are a glut of former Governors: Donald Duke, Cross River; Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Osun; Engineer Segun Oni, Ekiti and current National Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC); and Dr Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti.
Others on the list include: former National Auditor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode Mustapha; former Minister of Water Resources, Dr Abba Ruma; ex-Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Kanu Agabi; another erstwhile Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Chief Bayo Ojo, SAN; Yinka Folashade Oredola, a pharmacist from Ondo State; governorship candidate of the party in Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN; ex-Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC), Engineer Funsho Kupolokun; and a Senator-elect from Ogun State, Bisola Adegbenro.
Also on the list are: Isaiah Danjuma, son of General TY Danjuma from Taraba State; Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation magazine; Kehinde Lawanson, and a former Executive Director of First Bank.
