Happy new week to all readers of this humble opinion about a Leader with an uncommon passion and commitment to the emancipation of his people.

By sheer providence, Rt. Hon. Dr. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa emerged as the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly on 8th June, 2015.

It was not until then that the great people of Agege became aware of the wisdom, compassion and milk of kindness deposited in this God-fearing man with few words but a lot of positive actions.

In his 6 years at the helm of affairs as the Number 1 Legislator and 3rd citizen of Lagos State, he has demonstrated to the good people of Lagos State and the Nation that good governance is possible, if only other States in Nigeria can emulate Lagos State.

Rt. Hon. Dr. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has equally warmed himself into the hearts of majority of the people in his immediate constituency and beyond through his unbiased stand on burning National issues and choices made when needs arise.

He has also shown that you don’t have to be son or daughter from influencial parents before you can become prominent in your chosen field or career.

Under his able leadership, Lagos State House of Assembly has become a reference point in terms of the quality of Laws and other legislative materials coming out from its hallowed chamber.

Agege Local Government, in particular and Lagos State, in general will never forget Rt. Hon. Dr. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa for the innovations and all-round developments being witnessed in the State due to the mutually beneficial relationship that exist between the State Executive Council under the leadership of Mr Governor, and Lagos State House of Assembly ably led by Mr Speaker.

In conclusion, let me use this medium to call on all and sundry to sheath our swords, embrace peace and reconciliation towards the success of all APC candidates in the forthcoming local government elections, so that the good governance can continue.
