Update: Omole Estate Chairman Bamidele Lanisa Allays Fear On Suspected Coronavirous Death

Mr Bamidele Lanisa

People residing in Omole Phase II, Olowo-Ira, Magodo Phase 1 were on Thursday thrown into fear as the news of a suspected covid-19 death was announced.

The chairman of Omole Phase II Mr Bamidele Lanisa reportedly announced it to fellow members in a notice urging them to stay indoor over the case.

In the notice, He wrote:

“Dear Residents, this is to inform you that there is a confirmed case of coronavirus in our neighboring community (Olowoira).

“The patient was taken to the Health Centre and when the NCDC/Lagos ambulance was unavailable to evacuate her, she was returned to her residence in a tricycle and eventually died.

“As you can imagine, many people came in contact with the patient and the risk to transmission in the neighborhood is real.

“We advise residents to please stay in their houses and refrain from unnecessarily going about. Please safe. We advise a total stay at home for now.”

However, a new development came in early hours of Friday (Today) as regards to the case which totally debunked that the person died of coronavirus.

Lagos state government and NCDC has also refuted the claim saying that they can’t just conclude that the person in quote died of Covid-19 because the patient was not tested thus Coronavirus is not confirmed.

As such, the chairman issued another statement to allay fear or any form of panic within and outside the community.

The statement reads :
