We Will Not Call Off The Strike If Aregbesola Refuse To Pay 5 Months Salary, 2 Months Is Not Our Agreement .

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola the Executive governor of Osun State has begin the payment of salary arrears he is owing the state workers.


The last time he paid them was February 2015. However,  he started the payment from Local Government Workers in the State.

The governor was able to pay March and April 2015. The workers confirmed to us that they’ve been get alerts for the payments from Friday June 26, 2015 afternoon.

We also gathered that workers in others categories in the state would get their payment starting from tomorrow Monday June 29, 2015 as promised by Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

However, the labour unions in the state as rejected the option by the government to pay them two to three months and return to their duties posts.

They insisted that the workers would collect at least  five months salary before they would call off the strike.


NLC chairman of the state of Osun Mr Jacob Adekomi, said to have told the state government  their decision to collect 5 months salary during a meeting with government officials in the state But, the government made it clear that there was no way it could raise five months salaries at once, and even the part payment will be a gradual process.
